The Curly Crown

The crown of glory

Loved by many

Despised by others

But shining like the sunflowers

 Unruly for many

The frustration, The envy

A nest of snakes for others

 And the glance that smothers

Inability, insecurity

The endless chatter of many

The words that butcher

The child’s heart crossed over

Identity on display

Cycle unending

Fix it, change it, total makeover

The big chop, the braids, the perms, the rollers

Till when the stop of needless comments

Till when the contentment

Till when the moment

Now is the moment

Embracing the bestowment

Anew of her crown of glory

With unfading beauty

Sourire
