In 2021, during the season of Advent, it seemed that Zechariah, the husband of Elizabeth (see Luke 1) became highlighted to me. During the entirety of that season, I began to ponder about the biblical stories that primarily were connected to him. Almost a year later in november 2022, I wrote this piece that I am now sharing with you. If you feel forgotten, or have been struggling to hope my dear One, hear Jesus say to you+”For whatever I promise, I deliver”
See you in the Eucharist,
Sourire D’Marie
Remembered
And the longing of my heart grew
stronger and stronger
Deeper and deeper
As the years went by
In the ordinary of my day, you met me and said to me:
Oh my Beloved one, do not fear
Take courage my Son, Take Heart
For Whatever I promise, I deliver
The piercings of Elizabeth’s heart
The desert of her womb and heart
Became arrows but you were my shield
In the ordinary of my day, you met me and said to me:
Oh my Beloved one, do not fear
Take courage my Son, Take Heart
For Whatever I promise, I deliver
I laid my heart bare at the altar
I gave you my sacrificial Yes
Although that day in my doubt I was at lost for words
“How can I be sure of this?”
In the ordinary of my day you met me and said to me:
Oh my Beloved one, do not fear
Take courage my Son, Take Heart
For Whatever I promise, I deliver
In my deafness, I entered the desert of my heart
My unbelief, you shattered by your promise
The visit of the Mother of my Lord
Metamorphosed my paralysis into a proclamation
And today I say to you
I will not fear
You are Jehovah Jireh, my provider
For Whatever you promise you deliver
